Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's)

An EICR is an Electrical Installation Condition Report. It is a formal document that is produced following an assessment of the electrical installation within a property. It is the best way to ensure your electrics are safe and to identify any deterioration, damage or wear and tear.

During an EICR, the consumer unit (or fuseboard), wiring and electrical accessories are thoroughly tested and inspected for faults or deviations from the wiring standards. Throughout the test, the following will be inspected and tested:

The adequacy of the earthing and bonding.
Devices for protection against fire and electric shock.
Any damage or wear and tear that might affect the safety of the properties inhabitants.
Identification of any damaged electrical fittings and accessories.
Identification of any exposed live wires that could cause a fire or injury.

It would be impossible to rate this delightful company more highly. I lost all power in my house in the early hours of the night, but restored 75% the following morning. Grants came to resolve the problem with the 25% within less than 36 hours, from its original loss and within 24 hours of my contacting them on their day off. Grants came at the time they said they would come, and a very courteous and efficient electrician, Mike, resolved the 25% problem in a very short space of time. Brilliant, and I would highly recommend them

Martin has been a wonderful help with our new home, guiding us through step by step what was needed to be done to make our electrics safe, carried out remodeling and upgrading works and also helped with installing our new electric boiler. We had a cost break down from the start, updates along the way and the house was left cleaner and tidier than when he arrived. My partner rang last Saturday as the main light ring had blown and my vulnerable elderly relative was left with no proper lighting. Martin wasn't actually available for work call outs but had a look at emailed picture of the old fuse board and gave us advice and a link to parts so that we could get fuse replaced. We were really grateful for the advice and for Martin taking the time to help us even though he wasn't technically working at that time. In addition we saved a lot of time and money in avoiding trying to find someone else to come out. Can't recommend highly enough.
